Arizona Bioscience Week Returns October 5–9, Showcasing the State’s Growing Life Sciences Ecosystem

Arizona’s bioscience community will come together this fall for Arizona Bioscience Week 2026, a five-day series of events highlighting the researchers, founders, investors, healthcare leaders and organizations advancing life sciences across the state.
Presented by AZBio and the Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona Bioscience Week will run October 5–9 with programming spanning biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, drug development, health IT and healthcare innovation. (AZBio)
The week begins October 5 with Leading Women: Biotech & Beyond at the Phoenix Bioscience Core, bringing together leaders from Arizona’s biotech community for conversation and networking. The internationally focused Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa will also run October 5–7, convening executives and decision-makers working to advance cell and gene therapies. (AZBio)
On October 6, the 7th Annual Drug Discovery and Development Summit will highlight Arizona research moving from scientific discovery toward clinical application, with an emphasis on creating partnerships that can accelerate commercialization. (AZBio)
One of the week’s signature gatherings arrives October 7 with the 23rd Annual AZBio Awards at the Phoenix Convention Center, recognizing researchers, educators and organizations contributing to life-changing and lifesaving innovation. (AZBio)
Connecting Arizona Innovation With Capital
Capital takes center stage October 8 with the White Hat Life Science Investor Conference. The conference will feature investor panels, one-on-one partnering opportunities and presentations from 32 competitively selected life science companies from across the Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions. Arizona Bioscience Week concludes October 9 with Voice of the Patient, bringing the patient perspective into conversations around healthcare innovation. (AZBio)
The week is also intentionally collaborative. AZBio is encouraging organizations throughout Arizona’s life sciences ecosystem to host their own community events, creating opportunities to convene, educate and showcase innovation throughout the week. (AZBio)
For Arizona, Bioscience Week provides an opportunity to showcase more than individual companies or research institutions. It puts the broader ecosystem on display—from scientific discovery and commercialization to entrepreneurship, capital, talent and patient impact.
As Arizona works to strengthen its position as a national technology and innovation hub, bioscience and health technology represent an increasingly important part of that story.
Arizona Bioscience Week runs October 5–9, 2026. Full programming and event information are available through Arizona Bioscience Week 2026.
