SEMICON West Selects Phoenix as Permanent Home Beginning in 2027

Arizona’s position as one of America’s most important semiconductor hubs is getting another major boost.

SEMICON West, the semiconductor industry’s largest North American conference and trade show, will permanently relocate to Phoenix beginning in 2027, following the success of its first Arizona event in 2025.

The conference will return to San Francisco for its 2026 edition before moving to the Phoenix Convention Center permanently. The move will also shift SEMICON West from its traditional fall schedule to the spring, with the 2027 conference scheduled for March 30 through early April.

The decision follows an impressive Arizona debut. More than 20,000 attendees registered for SEMICON West 2025 in Phoenix, demonstrating the growing importance of the region to the global semiconductor industry.

Phoenix has emerged as a major center for advanced manufacturing as companies including TSMC, Intel, and Amkor Technology invest billions of dollars across the region. Their expansion has also attracted suppliers, engineers, startups, and supporting industries throughout Arizona.

For Arizona’s technology ecosystem, securing SEMICON West permanently represents more than another major convention. It creates an annual opportunity to bring global semiconductor executives, investors, engineers, suppliers, and innovators directly into the Valley.

The move also strengthens Arizona’s growing reputation as a destination for technology and advanced manufacturing.

Future Phoenix dates are already scheduled for May 9–11, 2028 and April 3–5, 2029.

As Arizona works to establish itself among the country’s leading technology ecosystems, SEMICON West choosing Phoenix as its permanent home is another significant step forward.
