PHX Angels Launches to Power Phoenix’s Next Generation of Software Startups
Phoenix’s startup ecosystem continues to gain momentum with the official launch of PHX Angels, a high-velocity angel investor network designed to back the Valley’s most promising software companies.
The launch includes the integration of Spark Angels, consolidating capital, mentorship, and investor reach into a single, unified platform. Aaron Favreau will serve as Executive Director, leading the combined network’s deal flow and investment strategy.
Spark Angels co-founders Jessica Pacheco, Corey Ferengul, and Marc Kiven will remain actively involved as advisors and Venture Partners, while Clate Mask joins as Entrepreneur in Residence—ensuring continuity and deep operator insight.
PHX Angels will operate in close partnership with PHX FWD, creating a powerful flywheel between capital and community. Investors gain early access to top startups, while founders benefit from hands-on support and a network of over 1,000 builders.
Together, the initiative aims to position Phoenix as a top U.S. software hub by 2035.
