
U of A Sets New Record for Innovation in 2025
Tech Launch Arizona (TLA) has announced the University of Arizona’s most inventive year yet — breaking last year’s record with 324 invention disclosures in fiscal year 2025. The surge reflects a thriving culture of innovation, with ideas spanning from AI-driven healthcare to green-light pain therapy. This banner year also saw: 94 patents issued 86 licenses executed $ 12.1M in royalties & income 13 new startups launched — tackling everything from cancer therapies to solar-powered food waste drying. Student entrepreneurship also took center stage through Startup Wildcats , which supported 80+ ventures and awarded $20K in milestone funding.
