Paxauris Cracks the Code on Ear Protection
Arizona startup’s Fluid ™ earplugs land in the top 2 % of Kickstarter campaigns with $ 147K raised . Arizona startup Paxauris has vaulted into the top 2% of all Kickstarter projects, raising $147,815 from 2,545 backers for its breakthrough Fluid™ inflatable earplugs. The campaign’s success signals strong global demand for a product designed to solve one of the world’s most persistent injuries: hearing loss. Founder Tony Dietz discovered the problem firsthand — foam plugs failed him during Navy F-18 launches, and surfer’s ear later left him without options. That personal struggle fueled a decade-long design journey, resulting in earplugs that inflate with a thumb press to mold to each user’s unique canal. Built from medical-grade materials, Fluid™ plugs are washable, reusable, recyclable, and durable enough to withstand thousands of inflations and extreme conditions. Backed by testing at Arizona State University’s Speech and Hearing Clinic, and honored with a 2025 Red Dot Design Concept Award, Fluid™ earplugs are now ready for launch. Paxauris also credits Arizona’s innovation ecosystem — including the WearTech Applied Research Center and the Partnership for Economic Innovation (PEI) — for helping amplify its message and reach backers worldwide. With first shipments set for November 2025, Paxauris is preparing to scale operations in the Valley and expand globally. It’s not just a product launch — it’s proof that Arizona founders can take personal challenges and turn them into world-changing solutions. 🚀 Stay ahead of Arizona’s innovation frontier.
