Panel 1: The Build Why Silicon Oasis, Why Now

The Silicon Oasis Summit 2026 opened with a defining conversation: how Arizona’s tech ecosystem moves from fragmented momentum to coordinated scale.

Panel 1 brought together leaders including Clate Mask, John Ragan, and Kyle Macdonald to unpack the origin of Silicon Oasis—and the decision to formally unite with InvisionAZ.

The message was clear: Arizona has already produced meaningful wins—venture-backed companies, major exits, and institutional leadership. But those successes have largely operated in silos. Silicon Oasis represents a shift toward alignment.

The panel walked through the backstory of both organizations, the rationale behind the merger, and what each brings to the table. The result is a new model: founder-led, board-backed—combining grassroots execution with executive leadership and governance.

More importantly, this is not just an organization. It’s a movement.

A movement to rally founders.
To connect capital with operators.
To collaborate across key industry pillars—software, biotech, defense, semiconductors, and cleantech.
And ultimately, to position Arizona as a Top 5 tech hub by 2035.

Panel 1 set the tone for the Summit: this is about building something bigger than any one company or individual.

This is Silicon Oasis.
