Nuclearn Raises $10.5M to Bring AI Efficiency to Nuclear Reactors
Nuclearn , a fast-rising startup with roots at Arizona’s Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, has raised $10.5 million in Series A funding to help the nuclear industry embrace AI. The round was led by Blue Bear Capital, with participation from AZ-VC, Nucleation Capital, and SJF Ventures. Founded by Bradley Fox and Jerrold Vincent , Nuclearn began as an internal project to streamline paperwork at Palo Verde. Today, their platform is deployed in 65+ nuclear reactors worldwide, assisting operators with compliance, reporting, and documentation—critical yet time-consuming tasks in one of the most tightly regulated industries.
What makes Nuclearn’s approach stand out is its “AI as a junior assistant” model: the system drafts documents and flags issues, while human experts maintain oversight. This balance allows plants to boost efficiency without compromising safety or regulatory standards. As data centers from Google, Meta, and Microsoft drive energy demand, nuclear is reemerging as a key solution. Nuclearn’s tools are helping ensure the sector can keep pace with modern needs. Congratulations to Bradley, Jerrold, and the Nuclearn team on this milestone. Their journey from Arizona innovation to global impact is a testament to the power of founder-driven problem-solving.
