LG-Backed AI Venture Studio Boosts the Silicon Oasis
Arizona’s startup ecosystem reached another milestone this week as NovaWave Capital announced a partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority to launch WaveX , an AI-focused venture studio in the state.
The initiative, unveiled during CES, is backed by LG Electronics through its innovation arm, LG NOVA. WaveX will support early-stage AI companies across health care, energy, sports, and media—sectors that align closely with Arizona’s growing strengths. Governor Katie Hobbs called the studio a reflection of Arizona’s rising global relevance in advanced technologies. For the Silicon Oasis, initiatives like WaveX are critical. They bring institutional capital, corporate partnerships, and venture-building infrastructure that help founders scale locally instead of leaving the state.
As Arizona continues to attract global players, the ecosystem is proving it can compete—and lead—on a national stage. 🌵 Subscribe to the Silicon Oasis Magazine for ongoing coverage of the founders, capital, and companies shaping Arizona’s startup ecosystem.
