Inside Silicon Oasis’ Defense & Aerospace Pitch Night
Phoenix’s defense and aerospace community packed the room last night for our Silicon Oasis Pitch Night partnered with the Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub: Arizona . Five startups took the stage, each tackling a critical piece of the modern defense ecosystem. Desert Rotor unveiled a reimagined turbine system built for high-efficiency energy deployment. DesignX demonstrated its “Octo – Hardware-in-Loop Design Tuning” platform, automating RF and microwave hardware design to dramatically compress the specs-to-samples timeline. InfiniCell introduced next-generation energy technology aimed at strengthening resilience across advanced systems. Smart Surface Robotics presented an autonomous, surface-climbing robot designed to proactively eliminate bio-hazards in facilities, replacing outdated manual methods. Pretorin rounded out the night with mission-focused technology solutions engineered for modern defense applications. A special thank you to Debin Ray, who not only pitched Desert Rotor but also stepped up as a sponsor. Founder-led support is what strengthens and sustains an ecosystem. We’re also grateful to Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub: Arizona for co-hosting and helping convene Arizona’s growing defense and aerospace network. As the state’s role in national security, dual-use innovation, and advanced manufacturing continues to expand, nights like this accelerate the momentum. More to come.
