👥 Grangou – Arizona’s Food-First Social App
By : Kyle Macdonald , COO of Silicon Oasis We love spotlighting local founders solving real problems—and Emini Offutt and Sam Senat , the team behind Grangou , are doing just that. After years in the restaurant industry, Sam kept seeing the same thing: people eating alone. Meanwhile, Emini struggled with the swipe culture of dating apps that rarely led to real connection. So they teamed up to build something different. Grangou ( which means “ hungry ” ) connects people over shared food cravings . Instead of swiping on profiles, you swipe on dishes from local restaurants—and if someone else picks the same one, Grangou introduces you so you can grab a bite together. They’re building it right here in Arizona because they believe Phoenix is becoming the next great startup hub—and we agree. Their founding team includes local engineers and marketers, and they’re already partnering with restaurants in the Valley. 👉 Support their journey : Get on the waitlis t 📬 Like stories like this ?
