ER2 Plans $45M Mesa Headquarters as Arizona Tech Company Expands
By Kyle Macdonald, COO, Silicon Oasis
Mesa-based technology company ER2 is planning a major expansion in its hometown, with a proposed $45 million, 155,000-square-foot headquarters near Falcon Field Airport.
The new facility would nearly double ER2's existing Valley footprint and consolidate its current Mesa and Phoenix operations into one campus at McDowell and Greenfield roads. The Mesa Planning & Zoning Board unanimously recommended approval of the project on August 26, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
ER2 specializes in IT services, technology asset management and electronics recycling. The company began operating from its Mesa facility in 2012 before expanding into Phoenix and several other states.
Now, growth in customer demand is bringing those Arizona operations back together under one roof.
The proposed headquarters would support approximately 250 to 300 employees, with ER2 planning to add another 50 to 100 jobs as it grows. The company generated $132 million in revenue in 2025, according to Business Journal research.
The facility is also being designed around where ER2 sees its business heading next.
CEO and cofounder Chris Ko told the Business Journal that building a new headquarters will allow the company to optimize its operations around technologies including AI, robotics and automation while creating more capacity for future growth.
For Mesa, the investment adds to a larger concentration of technology and advanced industry developing around Falcon Field and Mesa Gateway.
The city is seeing continued investment across aerospace and defense, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, technology and logistics. ER2's decision to make another major investment in Mesa is particularly notable because this isn't a company being recruited from somewhere else.
It's an Arizona company choosing to keep growing here.
That's an important part of building a sustainable technology economy. Attraction gets a lot of attention, but retaining Arizona companies as they scale—and giving them the environment to create their next hundred jobs here—is just as important.
A company that started operating in Mesa in 2012 is now preparing to invest $45 million into its next stage of growth in the same community.
That's exactly the kind of trajectory Arizona should want to see more often.
