Bluetail Launches Industry-First AI-Powered Logbooks for Aviation
Scottsdale-based aviation software company Bluetail has announced the launch of its AI-powered Logbooks , marking a first in aviation records management. The new capability enhances Bluetail’s platform by automatically organizing aircraft maintenance records into a fully searchable, chronological digital logbook. The system enables maintenance teams to access complete aircraft histories instantly—whether searching by date, keyword, part number, or service record. By eliminating manual filing and fragmented documentation, Bluetail aims to reduce administrative workload and allow technicians to focus on aircraft safety and operational readiness. “Our focus has been making the AI-powered logbook work seamlessly for aviation maintenance crews because their time and expertise need to be focused on the aircraft, not on administrative tasks,” said Kent Pickard , Chief Technology Officer at Bluetail. The feature will be automatically available to Bluetail Fleet customers and represents the company’s largest AI release to date. Designed to serve as a true digital system of record, the platform ensures maintenance files—past and future—are securely stored and accessible from any location. Bluetail continues to position Phoenix and Scottsdale as hubs for aviation technology innovation.
The company ranked No. 309 on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list and No.9 in Arizona, with expectations for continued growth in 2026. Congratulations to Roberto Guerrieri - CEO and Co-Founder, Stuart Illian - CAO and Co-Founder, and the rest of the Bluetail team on this launch. Full press release: Link .
