Arizona Positions Itself as a Leader in Advanced Air Mobility
Arizona just reached an important milestone in the future of aviation. Southwest MAC,a Silicon Oasis pillar partner, led the state’s application to the Federal Aviation Administration for participation in the FAA’s Electric Infrastructure Pilot Program (eIPP) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) initiative, in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority . The eIPP is designed to accelerate the safe deployment of next-generation aviation technologies, including electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL), advanced cargo solutions, and new mobility platforms. This effort reflects a broad, coordinated push across state agencies, cities, airports, utilities, universities, and private-sector innovators to position Arizona as a national proving ground for future aviation. For the Silicon Oasis, it’s another signal that Arizona isn’t waiting for what’s next — it’s helping build it.
